Fue miembro fundador de un grupo escocés de rock alternativo conocido como The Delgados. Pero en 2005 esta cantante, Emma Pollock, compositora y guitarrista, firmó con 4AD Records para crear su propio proyecto personal y dar por acabada su etapa al frente del grupo. Pero para su proyecto utilizó al batería del grupo que a su vez se convirtió en su marido, Paul Savage, al teclista Jamie Savage y al bajista Cambell McNeil. Finalmente, en 2007, apareció el su primer disco ‘Watch the fireworks’. En 2010 publicó lo que ha sido su segundo y último disco hasta el momento ‘The law of the large numbers’. Una de sus últimas colaboraciones fue con la banda escocesa The Burns Unit. Su primer disco fue un debut encantador y con frescura, que hizo que muchos fans de su antigua banda dejaran a un lado la nostalgia de su desaparición. Una voz clara, nítida, casi sin pretensiones que funciona a las mil maravillas. Melodías frescas y sencillas que alumbran un camino, que esperemos sea largo.
